Sophie trained at the Anna Scher theatre in London and started working professionally age 10.
After small parts in films such as "The Haunting of Julia”, "The Hunger” and "Return to Oz”, she was cast as Elizabeth in Steven Spielberg’s "Young Sherlock Holmes” directed by Barry Levinson. Her work since then includes television and film such as "The Shell Seekers”, "A Dark-Adapted Eye”, "Wuthering Heights”, "Class of ‘61” and "Dinotopia”.
Sophie first started working with the director Philip Prowse at the Citizen’s Theatre in Noel Coward’s ‘Private Lives’ and continued to work with him in Schiller’s "Don Carlos” and "The Robbers”, Coward’s "Blithe Spirit” and "Semi Monde”, William Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’ and Thomas Ottway’s "Venice Preserved”.
